One of the subjects I reckon should be taught as part of an inted curriculum is design, and a big part of that is colours:
- Which colours tend to be used for which reasons?
- Which colours tend to be used online more than others, particularly in marketing?
- Do different colours carry different meanings in different cultures?
On that last point, for example, white is associated with cleanliness, purity and marriage in most of Europe and the Americas. In Japan, China and parts of Africa, white is traditionally the colour of mourning.
