Here’s another business that people earn from: they buy a domain name (eg yourname.co.uk) then sell it later for a profit.
Most domains in my experience are relatively cheap to buy and, as I learned a few years ago, they’re like land: once they’re bought and registered, they’re taken. There’s only one Amazon.com.
People also buy and sell websites for profit too, but that can take a lot more work. A domain is just what it is: an address on the internet.
Buy, sell, use, don’t use.
There’s not much else you can do with them but you can give them as a present. I registered my daughters’ names as dot-com domains when they were younger and renew them every year (the domains, not my daughters’ names).
