Google Analytics tells a website’s owner huge amounts about:

  • Who visits their site
  • What they do when they get there
  • How long they stay
  • Which pages they visit
  • Which pages they look at before leaving the site
  • Where they are in the world
  • What kind of device they’re using – desktop, tablet or mobile
  • Lots more

Google Analytics is free to use and only takes a couple of minutes to set up: you get a little bit of code and put it on your site, and it sits there behind the scenes, gathering all this information.
