If you ever get paid in a foreign currency or want to spend in a foreign currency when you’re abroad, something I’ve learned recently is that it pays not to rely on your bank, who will charge more than they need to and give you a poor exchange rate.
After a bit of research, I found that there are several alternatives that will leave more of your money in your pocket.
The one I went for was TransferWise. I’ve been using them for a while now and love their service.
