What is it with robots?
On the one hand, I read headlines such as “Ex-Google worker fears ‘killer robots’ could cause mass atrocities“, about an engineer who warns that AI might also accidentally start a war.
While in Japan, there’s a different view. Here, the robots we fear are welcomed as they protect and serve with respect, dignity and humility. They’re even designed to be small to avoid intimidating humans.
