I doubt it, despite the health secretary’s warning.
But the terrible story of Molly Russell, the teenager who took her own life after viewing disturbing content about suicide on social media, just proves again that we don’t really understand what we’re dealing with when it comes to Facebook, Twitter, et al.
I’m not sure banning these companies is the answer but I do feel that education is needed: we can’t rely on the social networks to do our work when their profits are at stake.
